FFA National Leadership Conference at FHS!

Students attend FFA National Leadership Conference at FHS!

Firelands hosted a FFA National Leadership Conference at the high school on February 29th!

FFA students from multiple school districts ( Ehove, Firelands, Keystone, Lakota, Margaretta, Northmor, South Central, Vermilion, and Willard) all participated in this National Conference. Students were led by former FFA State Officers from Oklahoma and Oregon.

The conference focused on the student’s ability to understand their strengths, inspirations, innovations and vision in order to become better leaders. The facilitators discussed and used many different methods in order to help students achieve their abilities. The National FFA Organization states, “This FFA Leadership conference will help students to be confident and capable leaders, both in their chapters and beyond.”

This is the second year that Firelands has been able to host a National Conference. This was made possible by the construction of the new high school. The new building provides the facility design needed to host all of the students comfortably in an environment that is conducive to learning.

The Firelands High School and Firelands Middle School FFA Programs are led by Agricultural Educators, Mrs. Shanna Finnegan, Mrs. Shelby McCarty, and student teacher Anna Shearer.
