Falcon Boys Track Team win PAC Tri-Meet

TrackSHEFFIELD TWP. — For the Firelands boys track and field team, it was all about the relays. The Falcons took three of the relay events, guiding them to a Patriot Athletic Conference tri-meet victory over the Buckeye Bucks and Clearview Clippers.
“The 4x400m and 4×800 have been really solid for us,” Firelands coach Greg Northeim said. “We have a lot of high expectations, and I think we’re going to be fine if we can keep everybody healthy.”

The team of Michael Adkins, Cullen Grude, Patrick Brightbill and Derek Reynolds headlined the 4×800, finishing with a team of 9:02. The quartet was different as opposed to the 4×800 that broke the Lorain County Athletic Administrators Association meet record on April 17 that finished with a time of 8:22.63. Jordan Ruffner was excluded for the 4×800 on April 23.
