Veterans Day 2020

Students in the 4th grade spent time making sure local veterans were acknowledged this Veterans Day.

All students in the fourth grade, online and in person, worked to honor veterans even though their annual program could not be presented this year.

These students made cards to send to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. This facility was opened in 1888 and currently serves veterans in need of intermediate care and those in need of memory care. The students created over 400 cards! Thanks to our students, every resident of the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky or student’s personal veterans, will receive a card. In addition, our students and teachers decorated the windows facing Vermilion Road for all to see.

Thank you to the students of the 4th grade for continuing to honor our local veterans. In addition, we would like to recognize and thank our fourth grade staff members; Mrs. Eibel, Mrs. Kerestury, Miss Miller, Miss Rich, Mrs. Scalli, Mrs. Thoms, and Mrs. Williams. Your commitment to these brave individuals is greatly appreciated.
