Firelands Local Schools is pleased to announce that Deputy Cody Northeim has been hired as the District’s Resource Officer.
Northeim is a graduate of Firelands High School, Class of 2012. While in school, he was involved in many activities including basketball, baseball, football, and track.
After graduating from FHS, he attended Hocking College. He graduated on the President’s List with his Associates Degree in Natural Resources Law Enforcement in 2014.
Immediately following college, he enrolled in the Lorain County Community College Police Academy where he was selected as the Class President. He was also the recipient of the Top Shot Award.
Shortly after graduating from the Police Academy, he was hired by the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office as a full time Deputy. Deputy Northeim spent most of three years as a Road Patrol Deputy. In addition, he is part of the Lorain County OVI Task Force, Lorain County Mobile Field Force, and the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office Bike Patrol.
In the beginning months of 2018, Deputy Northeim accepted a position in the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office Township Impact Unit until July of 2018 when he was selected as the Firelands School District Resource Officer.
