February 27, 2018 at FHS

On Tuesday, February 27th, FHS will again offer a one-time free ACT to all members of the Class of 2019. This is made possible by the Ohio Department of Education, and it is mandated that all Juniors take this free College Entrance Test.
The test will begin at 7:30 am on February 27th and all Juniors are expected to be in their testing areas at that time. Students will not be allowed to enter the testing rooms once the first part of the ACT has started.
Pre-ACT registration will begin this week at the LCJVS, as Ms. Cozza and Mr. Maver will meet with Juniors at the LCJVS to begin their pre-registration. All Juniors from the JVS are expected to take the ACT at FHS on that day. There is no school for Juniors at the LCJVS on February 27th.
All other grades (9,10, & 12) will not have school that day, and are expected to utilize the day to do a college visit, career shadow, or career exploration activities. The Juniors who are taking the test will be excused sometime around noon. Lunch will be provided after the test for students who want to eat and then depart FHS.

JVS Career Tech Saturday

JVS event 5 6 grades 2018

Career Tech Saturday (CTS) is a career exploration program designed to give students in 5th and 6th grades hands-on experience in various career tech areas. CTS is an opportunity to spark the interest of our younger student population by providing fun activities while they learn a new skill set.

CTS will showcase career tech areas by offering a comprehensive hands-on activity that highlights career tech skills; students will create a make-it-take-it that they will proudly take home with them!

Online ticket registration is required for the student(s); a ticket is not needed for the parent/guardian.  Register here!

A parent/guardian or close family member must stay on campus with their 5th/6th grade student for the duration of the event. Parents/guardians can observe their student(s) in the career tech environment; or while you wait, we offer a free culinary demo/tasting, flower arranging demo/class (donations accepted), limited salon services (minimal cost), and free Wi-Fi!
