CIVIL WAR DAY at Mill Hollow Park — September 23rd from 10am-4pm

The Brownhelm Historical Association, in partnership with the Lorain MetroParks, presents its first Civil War Day. Experts in Civil War era topics will be present to share their knowledge during scheduled demonstrations on period cooking methods, medical practices, uniforms, music and more that will occur throughout the day. There will be stations featuring touchable objects and chances for children (or adults!) to learn how to drill and march like the Civil War soldiers. Take your family on a self-guided tour of the Benjamin Bacon home, then spread out a picnic on the grounds and enjoy the day! Educational fun for the whole family will be had at Mill Hollow at the Vermilion River Reservation!
