The 5th grade students at Firelands Elementary School participated in a Bridging Ceremony on June 6th. Students and parents were invited to the ceremony to celebrate the end of the elementary school days.
As a surprise, several students wrote essays to their favorite teachers. They wanted to tell the teachers why the year has been so great and what the teachers meant to them.
After the essays were read, the students were called to the front, one-by-one. They received a class ribbon and officially completed the bridging process.
After the ceremony was complete, 5th grade students walked a lap around the school and the younger students clapped them out of 5th grade! A cake reception was held in the classrooms.
Have a wonderful summer 6th graders!
