South Amherst Village to participate in Pride Day 2017
This year Pride Day will be held on May 20th, 2017 from 9:00 a.m.-12 noon as part of the Great American Cleanup sponsored by Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and our local affiliate Keep Lorain County Beautiful (KLCB).
- Clean up your yards and home. Dumpsters will be available at the village town hall. Assistants will be available to help unload.
• Girl Scout troop # 50281 will be assisting the American Legion post # 197 with placing flags at the Evergreen Cemetery in honor of our Veterans.
• Road side clean up. Supplies (Vests, bags, gloves and grabbers) will be available.
• Members of the Park Board will be cleaning up the park.
• St. John’s UCC will be cleaning up their grounds and planting flowers.
• Clean up and planting flowers at the Village Town Hall.

• Prescription Medication Take Back Program drop -off at South Amherst Police Department
A light lunch of hot dogs, salads, desserts and drinks will be provided for all at the Village Town Hall at 12:30.
St Johns UCC Vacation Bible School
St. John’s UCC, 204 Leonard Street will be hosting a summer Vacation Bible School open to children in or near the Village of South Amherst. Pre-registration is required by May 30th.

Save the date for the South Amherst Village Wide Garage Sale!
The South Amherst Village Council would like to invite the residents of the village to participate in the annual village wide garage sale. The date will be August 12th, from 9-5. No permit is necessary for this date. A list of addresses participating will be available on the South Amherst News and Events facebook page.
