National Honor Society Induction 2017

NHS.pngThe National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. However, a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 must be earned during freshman and sophomore years.

The 2016-2017 Firelands High School National Honor Society Officers held an induction ceremony for 43 new members on March 27th in the Firelands High School gymnasium. The 2016-2017 NHS officers, listed below, welcomed new members and quests.

  • President: Victoria Grasso
  • Vice President: Elizabeth Skolnik
  • Secretary: Sarah Slack
  • Treasurer: Benjamin Laughrey
  • Adviser: Mrs. Anne Callahan
