March 21st Firelands High School Special Schedule

All members of the Class of 2018 will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 21st. The test will begin at 8 am and last until approximately noon in several rooms at FHS. All Juniors, whether they are at FHS, the LCJVS, or LCCC full-time will be offered this free opportunity to take the ACT.

Freshman, Sophomores, and Seniors will not have school that day, because of the vast resources that administering the ACT take. Seniors will be able to shore up final details with college visits, or other career readiness opportunities. Freshman and Sophomores are expected to either partake in a job shadow or to take an initial college visit that day.

All Juniors should review the informational letter that was sent home near the end of February. This letter gave details to all Junior students and parents about this exciting free opportunity that is offered to each person in the Class of 2018.

Capital Improvements Needed for Firelands Band

The Band Boosters are in need of your assistance. Efforts are underway for a Capital Improvement campaign. The Firelands High School Band program has grown exponentially over the past decade. Due to this growth, we are in need of updating many of the facilities for the band program. The boosters are working to raise funds for new storage cabinets in the band room as well as a new seating areas for the Mighty Falcon Marching Band. All donations are appreciated and can be sent to Mrs. Melanie Caruso (see flyer for address) or through the MFMB’s Go Fund Me Account.
