Would you like to receive important text notification from FLSD?
Community members, parents, staff, and students all have the opportunity to receive text messages with important announcements from FLSD.
We recommend that important information is received through at least two different channels. In the event that urgent news is being shared, we cannot always rely on one form of technology to inform all of our community. Today, we are sharing our text notification system information. End users sign up for notifications and text alerts are automatically sent to those subscribers. If any emergency banner is placed on the web site (such as school closings) that information would then be texted to all users who have signed up for the program.
To enroll in this program simply click here or go to our home page and click on social media.From there, click the Newsletter icon and register. You will see this updated screen:
Fill out the information and continue to the next screen. Click Manage my Account & Subscriptions. Then click on Contact Preferences to enter your cell number for the text notifications. Then click on Dashboard Preferences to choose School closings and/or Online Dashboard Weekly Updates. Here you will be able to further choose what building that you wish to receive text notifications for.
