The Firelands Local School District is pleased to announce that Mrs. Laureen Roemer (Director of Educational Services) and Mr. Mike Von Gunten (Superintendent) have been awarded a grant from Ohio Literacy Innovation.
This $ 3,475.00 matching grant will be used towards the program myON. myOn is designed to provide a 24/7 student-centered, personalized literacy environment that offers unlimited access to thousands of enhanced digital books, which are matched to each individual learner’s interests and reading level.
Teachers will utilize professional development to ensure that the program is used to its fullest capacity. Student in grades K-5 will be the first group to have the opportunity to use myON. Watch for the program to start in the coming month!
