Health Update – January 15, 2016

We have received notification that we suspect that one of our high school students has contracted viral meningitis. This student is also an athlete and earlier this week, practiced at the elementary gym. We are working with officials from the Lorain County Health Department who are in contact with doctors from the Cleveland Clinic. At this time, there is an extremely low risk that your child will contract meningitis; however, if your child is exhibiting symptoms such as a fever, stiff neck, severe headaches, or nausea you are advised to see your child’s primary care doctor.
