Firelands’ superintendent search narrows to three

Working on a very tight time schedule, Firelands Schools is moving ahead with its superintendent search and board members plan to have a final candidate picked and ready to be hired within the next two weeks, said Greg Ring, superintendent of the Educational Service Center of Lorain County.


School district literacy ratings are released

Last fall, the Ohio Department of Education postponed releasing a report letting parents know how well districts were doing to help struggling readers — those young students who were at-risk for falling further behind in their studies and possibly not becoming high school graduates.


High school softball: Firelands edges Wellington in 9 innings … again
