Your vote is needed for the Firelands Endowment Fund!

Help us earn money for our Endowment Fund by Liking our Photo!

The Community Foundation of Lorain County is holding a photo/essay contest in celebration of their 35th anniversary. Starting May 1st, the groups that get the most number of likes for their photo on The Community Foundations of Lorain County’s  Facebook page will be ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. First place wins $10,000, 2nd $5,000 and 3rd $2,500 gifts to their endowment Funds. The contest runs from May 1 to May 31, 2015. Please help us support our district – we need your vote!

It’s simple:

2) Look for the 35th Anniversary Contest Albums and vote for Firelands! *spoiler alert:look for the adorable child with the parachute!


The Firelands Endowment Fund is supported by the Community Foundation of Lorain County. The Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that began in 1980 and is dedicated to making all of Lorain County a better place to live and work. The Community Foundation supports our investments and assists the Firelands Endowment so that we can achieve the maximum value of return. Up to 5.5% of the average market value of our total holdings is awarded to our students/staff annually. The Firelands Endowment Fund shall be used for the support and enhancement of Education within The Firelands Local School District. The Firelands Endowment provides scholarships to deserving seniors as well as assists teachers by awarding grants.
