Community Update – April 23, 2015

Grandma’s Attic Sale

The Brownhelm Historical Association will hold its Grandma’s Attic Sale on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25, 2015. The sale will raise funds for the continuing restoration of the Brownhelm School.

The BHA will be accepting donations of antiques, dishes, linens, books, furniture, etc. Please see the Flyer for Grandma’s Attic Sale for additional information.

Discover Aviation at the Lorain County Airport

The annual Discover Aviation Day program will be held May 16, 2015 at the Lorain County Airport. The program is focused on a student’s introduction to the world of aviation. There will be static aircraft displays, flight simulators, Aviation Career representatives, free airplane rides for children 8-17 and the  AVLAB trailer!

Superhero Run for the Homeless

The Haven Center Homeless Shelter, Lorain County’s 24 hour, 365 day, full service extended stay emergency shelter that serves men, women and families will be holding their 5k run/ 1 mile family walk on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

Fundraisers

The MFMB (Mighty Falcon Marching Band) will be holding their annual pancake breakfast on Sunday, April 26th from 8:00 -1:00 p.m. The breakfast helps support the love that these students have for the band and what it means to them. We will have all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, eggs, fruit, coffee, orange juice, and milk. Also, we will be having a bake sale and raffling off some great baskets filled with great items.
