Community Update – April 9, 2015

Medication Disposal Options

Medicine take-back programs for disposal are the best way to remove expired, unwanted, or unused medicines from the home.  Correct disposal of pharmaceutical drugs reduces the unwanted exposure to pets children, and those attempting illegal collection of medications. Please consider the following options for medication/drug disposal:

Amherst community members are advised that a secure drop-off receptacle has been placed in the lobby of the Amherst Police Station for the collection of unwanted or unused drugs and medication. Drop off  location is 911 North Lake Street, Amherst, OH. Drop off is available 24/7 with no questions asked.

Medication Drop Off – Vermilion

Residents within the city of Vermilion also have available a medication drop off receptacle. Please drop medications at The Vermilion Police Department which is located at 5791 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, OH.

Medication Drop Off – Oberlin

Oberlin residents may also drop off extra, out of date or unwanted medication at the Oberlin Police Department. The Departments is located at 85 South Main Street, Oberlin, OH.
