Annual Stained Glass Window Mosaic

Reception and Silent Auction at FHS

Thursday April 16

Art stained glass novak 2015

Sydney Novak, grade 10, works out the pieces for her library window.

The FHS Art 3 and Art 4 students have completed their stained glass window mosaics and invite the community to a gallery reception and silent auction of selected windows.  The event is Thursday April 16 from 6:30-7:30pm in the Firelands High School library.  Nineteen sophomore through senior art students used salvaged windows to build original designs in donated stained glass. This project is supported by generous donations from Oberlin artist Sheree Ferrato, art parents Thomas Biery, Gerald Workman, Joan Myer and Dale Ohle, and the Home Depot. Refreshments will be served and the student artists will demonstrate the process.  The silent auction of the works will raise funds for the art students and the visual art department.
