Amherst Schools has extended an invitation for any of our track and field athletes to attend their free 6th annual Asics Comet Clinic. This professional clinic host speakers that include professional athletes, Olympic athletes, NCAA coaches, physical therapists, officials, and more!

at Amherst High School
Olympian Queen Harrison, will be the keynote speaker. Many of the sessions will offer a “learn by doing” format including sprints, distance, hurdles, relays, field events, injury prevention, strength/flexibility, plyometrics, and nutrition, so come dressed to participate! There will also be a session for parents as well as interested athletes about college academics and track and field recruiting and scholarship negotiation. The session will be led by college coaches educate parents about athletic scholarship and participation requirements.
This clinic is free to attend and professionals from each individual event will be on hand to guide students in proper form and technique. Student sessions include breakout time for:

A special session for Junior High Athletes
Lifting sessions for:
Academic preparation for college
Injury diagnosis and prevention
The clinic includes hands on training, free catered lunch, and athletes have the opportunity to purchases discounted training shoes, spikes and apparel.
