Holiday Light Display at Carlisle Reservation

The annual holiday light display at Carlisle Reservation is open to the public
from now through December 30 (closed December 24 and 25). Admission is free, but everyone is asked to bring one, nonperishable food item that will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.  Please visit the Metroparks website for additional information.

Lions Club Student of The Month

The Lions Club, in conjunction with Firelands High School, announced Miss Taylor Odom as the November Student of the Month. Congratulations to Taylor on her outstanding service to Firelands High School.

Miracle on Main Street

Miracle on Main street will be held Friday, December 5th, in downtown Amherst. A parade will kick off the celebration at 6:00 p.m.

Park Avenue will be closed starting in the afternoon in preparation for the parade. Festivities will include community caroling, a tree lighting ceremony at city hall, train displays and the arrival of Santa Claus.

Christmas in The Village

The Amherst Historical Society presents Christmas in the Village. The event will let everyone experience the traditions of Christmas from long ago. Join them on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Sandstone Village in Amherst, Ohio.
