The School Counseling Department is very excited to again be hosting Career Day on October 15th. This is a day where our Freshman hear presentations from different speakers on College and Career Readiness, while our Sophomores and Juniors take either the Pre-ACT, Practice ACT, or the PSAT, in order to prepare them for rigorous college tests in the upcoming months. The Seniors either job shadow a career or make a college visit that day.
FHS is thrilled that we can host this event at no cost to the students, as all of the testing costs have been covered by a grant from High Schools that Work, while the speakers donate their time and expertise to our freshman, as our students receive valuable input and data regarding college and career decisions that will be facing them in the near future.
After a picnic lunch, the students and staff will participate in several community service projects, all designed to raise money and awareness for various causes that are important to our students and staff.
Wednesday Schedule – School Starts at 8:30 am. Thursday will be a regular NON-BLOCK Day Schedule.
