Introducing The Falcon Advantage!

The Falcon Advantage HeaderThe Falcon Advantage is a program designed for our Junior and Senior students interested in pursuing college classes, right here at FHS.

Firelands High School is partnered with Lorain County Community College and Oberlin College to bring college credit opportunities to our students, safely and easily, within the walls of FHS. By enrolling in college classes while attending high school, many students report an easier transition to a college campus after graduation.

Our students have the ability to take up to 28 semester hours of college instruction. This is equal to ONE FREE YEAR OF COLLEGE. A typical year at a state college, including room and board, will cost around $20,000.00. The savings increase if the student chooses a private university.

For additional information on The Falcon Advantage please plan on attending the PSEO (Post Secondary Education Options) meeting on February 27, 2014 @ 6:30 p.m. in the library at FHS. Students may also stop into the guidance office at FHS to schedule an appointment with one of our guidance counselors.
