FHS Honors Choir participate in OMEA/Honors Choir Festival


The following students were involved in OMEA District IV and VII Honors Choir Festival this past weekend at CSU: Sopranos- Chelsea Otero, Makiah Tillman, and Rachel Williams; Altos- Diana Beursken and Taylor Marcum; Tenors- Daniel Kasper and Adrian Rios; Basses- Austin Beursken and David Tomsco.
They rehearsed all day on Friday, November 15 with the other honors choir students from over 12 different schools totaling 200 choir students, working with the famous composer and choral director, Dr. Rollo Dilworth.  They performed on Saturday, November 16 to a packed house in the Waetjen Auditorium at CSU.  They performed five songs, conducted by Dr. Rollo Dilworth, performing two of his songs: Oh What A Beautiful City and The Gift to be Free.  The students had a fantastic time and performed beautifully; the concert ended with a standing ovation by the audience!  Great job Firelands Honors Choir Students!!
