Students in the carpentry program at LCJVS had the opportunity to help promote literacy throughout the county recently. The Stocker Foundation, with the Lorain County Educational Service Center is funding a countywide literacy program that will install up to 30 unique Free Libraries.
These libraries are small unique custom-made buildings – one is a barn, one has a nautical theme. These holding containers are placed all over the county and people borrow reading material without the normal constraints of a traditional library.
